Help Desk Technician
OculusIT is focused on providing IT support for higher education institutions, and they are seeking a Helpdesk Support Analyst to serve as the first point of contact for all IT support needs. The role involves troubleshooting and repairing Apple devices, educating customers on product features, and accurately logging support cases.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and resolve technical issues, perform physical repairs (hardware), and provide software fixes for Apple devices and peripherals
Educate customers on Apple product features, services, updates, and best practices to enhance their experience
Accurately log support cases, repairs, and resolutions in Jira ticketing system
Continuously develop expertise on Apple products, services, and repair processes
Qualification
Required
Strong technical skills in Apple hardware (Mac, iPhone, iPad) and software (macOS, iOS)
Assist with device setup, configuration, and enrollment using MDM tools (e.g., Jamf, Intune)
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with diverse users and foster an inclusive environment
Apple Certifications (like ACMT) are valuable, especially for repair roles
Collaborate with IT and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations
