Responsibilities
Serve as technical lead for a complex, modernized enterprise application
Provide hands-on development while offering technical guidance and oversight to other developers
Support multiple critical applications by contributing architectural and engineering expertise
Ensure high availability, performance, and data accuracy to prevent outages and reporting issues
Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance cloud-based solutions using AWS services
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using Python and Scala
Design, implement, and maintain ETL processes and data pipelines
Participate fully in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, functional and technical design, development, testing, and deployment
Ensure adherence to SEM/SUITE standards, security requirements, and enterprise best practices
Design and maintain logical and physical data models
Develop and optimize database objects including stored procedures and functions
Implement and manage ElasticSearch and Kibana for efficient data retrieval, monitoring, and analytics
Support data warehousing, visualization tools, and data integrity initiatives
Build and maintain AWS cloud-based applications
Support or implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
Use Git for source control and collaboration
Work within large Agile teams, following Agile and test-driven development practices
Create software design documentation and collaborate with stakeholders for review and approval
Support integrations involving Electronic Health Records (EHR) and HL7 standards
Ensure secure handling of sensitive and regulated data
Qualification
Required
12+ years of experience developing complex database-driven systems
8+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks
8+ years of hands-on experience with ElasticSearch and Kibana
8+ years of hands-on experience with Python and/or Scala
8+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle databases
5+ years of experience with ETL processes and data pipeline development
5+ years of experience with AWS cloud services
5+ years of experience with data warehousing and data visualization tools
5+ years of experience with data integrity and quality initiatives
5+ years of experience with Agile development methodologies
5+ years of experience with CMM/CMMI Level 3 methods and practices
5+ years of experience with test-driven development (TDD)
Strong expertise in AWS cloud application development
Strong expertise in Databricks and distributed data processing
Strong expertise in ElasticSearch and Kibana
Strong expertise in Python and Scala
Strong expertise in Oracle database development
