Student Services Program Coordinator

The Student Services Program Coordinator is responsible for delivering high-quality, student-centered support from application through graduation, managing admissions, advising students, and overseeing early alert efforts to enhance student success.

Responsibilities

Serves as the primary admissions recourse person within the Hampton and Colleton HUBs communicating with the general public, current and prospective students, and their families on admissions, residency, and enrollment steps. Communicates with applicants on assigned case load regarding additional requirements, including but not limited to residency, test scores, transcripts, and other supporting credentials. and counsels’ students on next steps in the enrollment process. Inputs accurate data into assigned systems/software. Maintains files as needed
Advises students on academic, career, and financial matters in alignment with guided pathways. Manages an assigned caseload, delivers personalized outreach, maintains detailed records in the student success system and may teach First Year Experience courses
Oversees early alert efforts by leveraging real-time data to provide timely, coordinated support and first-level interventions from a student’s first year through graduation. Facilitates communication between faculty and support services, and proactively monitors and engages special student populations, including high-risk, first-generation, and academically at-risk students
Represents the college as a recruiter by visiting schools, attending community events, and engaging with prospective students. Builds partnerships with local school systems to strengthen outreach and enrollment efforts

Required

Bachelor's degree
Experience in Student Services programs

Preferred

Bachelor's in education, Communication or Pathways specific area
One (1) year of experience in student services, preferably in student advising in a community college setting
