iOS Systems Administrator

Airco Mechanical is a trusted leader in the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) industries, seeking an iOS Systems Administrator / Tier 2 Support professional to join their growing team. The role involves managing the organization’s Apple mobile device environment and providing Tier 2 technical support across core IT systems, focusing on system reliability, security, automation, and advanced troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Administer the iOS environment using an MDM platform (e.g., MaaS360, Jamf, Intune)
Manage Apple Business Manager and Automated Device Enrollment (ADE/DEP)
Enroll, configure, and decommission iPhones and iPads
Deploy and manage business applications via MDM and VPP
Enforce mobile security policies and compliance standards
Troubleshoot advanced iOS, app, and MDM-related issues
Manage certificates, VPN, Wi-Fi profiles, and device restrictions
Maintain mobile device inventory and lifecycle documentation
Respond to lost/stolen devices and perform remote actions
Act as an escalation point from Tier 1 for complex technical issues
Troubleshoot operating system and software issues (Windows/macOS)
Support Microsoft 365, email, and identity-related issues
Assist with user access, permissions, and security groups
Support hardware and peripherals (laptops, docks, printers)
Investigate recurring issues and recommend permanent fixes
Participate in system upgrades and technology rollouts
Create technical documentation and standard operating procedures
Identify opportunities for automation and self-service
Work with Tier 1 to improve knowledge base and support processes
Collaborate with Application, Security, and Infrastructure teams
Evaluate and implement new mobile and endpoint technologies
Owns the mobile platform
Handles escalations from Tier 1
Escalates to Tier 3 (App Dev, Security, Infrastructure) when needed

Required

2+ years experience managing iOS devices in an enterprise environment
Hands-on experience with MDM platforms (MaaS360, Jamf, Intune, etc.)
Experience with Apple Business Manager and ADE/DEP
Strong troubleshooting skills across iOS, Windows, and macOS
Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments
Understanding of identity, access control, and device security
Strong communication and customer support skills

Preferred

Apple or MDM certifications (ACSP, Jamf 200/300)
Experience with endpoint security tools
Basic scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, Bash)
Experience supporting remote or field-based users
Familiarity with ITIL or structured support frameworks
