Industrial Project Manager – Field Operations

They are seeking an experienced Industrial Project Manager – Field Operations to lead industrial refrigeration construction projects, overseeing budgets, contracts, customer relationships, scheduling, and field execution.

Responsibilities
Provide full project-level oversight for industrial refrigeration construction projects, including budgets, contracts, quality, progress, and customer relationships
Serve as the primary business manager for assigned projects, owning financial performance, forecasting, and execution outcomes
Develop and manage project schedules; coordinate sequencing, production, and quality requirements with Construction Managers and field teams
Manage estimates for equipment, materials, and subcontractors; oversee labor and overall job cost performance
Submit RFIs, review responses, and assess impacts to scope, cost, and schedule
Lead and supervise field execution, including coaching and directing trade and craft personnel across disciplines
Monitor manpower, materials, tools, and equipment to ensure efficient resource utilization
Review weekly cost reports, identify variances, and implement cost-saving opportunities
Lead and enforce safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience as a Project Manager on industrial mechanical construction projects (industrial refrigeration, manufacturing, food processing, power/energy, or similar)
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, Building Construction, or related field
5+ years of superintendent or field leadership experience in industrial refrigeration, pipefitting, or welding environments
Extensive knowledge of industrial refrigeration piping systems and ammonia-based systems
Strong understanding of project financials, contract management, and cost forecasting
Ability to lead crews and collaborate effectively with owners, GCs, subcontractors, engineers, and internal teams
Safety-focused mindset with strong knowledge of OSHA regulations
Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and willingness to travel approximately 30% (including ~15% overnight travel)
