The role involves estimating and bidding projects, securing pricing, and maintaining communication with various stakeholders to ensure accurate project estimates.

Responsibilities
Estimating and bidding projects with a complete and comprehensive review of project plans, specifications, and public bid documents
Complete and all-inclusive quantitative take-off of the project plans and review the specification codes and other related system requirements
Secure pricing and communicate and analyze project labor requirements for a complete and accurate estimate for the project
Build and maintain strong communication, both written and verbal, with project managers, customers, architects, consultants, vendors, etc
Attend pre-bid meetings for reroofing projects
Have a thorough understanding of the various roof manufacturers' system requirements and assemblies
Qualification
Required
A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is required
Computer knowledge and intermediate to advanced proficiency required including Outlook and Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel, etc.)
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, along with basic knowledge of algebra and geometry
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for use in dealing with customers, architects, consultants, and field personnel is essential
Preferred
AutoCAD LT is a plus
Commercial roofing knowledge is a plus
