This role focuses on designing IT, communications, security, audio-visual, and structured cabling systems for new builds, upgrades, and renovations.

Responsibilities
Lead low voltage system designs from concept through construction
Evaluate system options and develop solutions aligned with project scope and goals
Design and layout systems including load calculations, equipment selection, schematics, and schedules
Prepare detailed drawings, CSI-format specifications, and technical documentation for bidding and construction
Perform system analyses, studies, and cost estimates
Coordinate with architects, engineers, clients, and contractors throughout project lifecycle
Participate in construction administration, including site visits and technical reviews
Help manage project budgets and internal resources
Provide mentorship to junior engineers and designers on the team
Qualification
Required
Associate degree in Engineering Technology or similar field (Bachelor's preferred)
10+ years of experience in low voltage or electrical systems design and consulting
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office tools
Experience working within architectural and engineering project environments
Strong self-management and team collaboration skills
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or similar field
RCDD or equivalent certification
PE license or eligibility to obtain one
Active engagement in relevant industry associations
