Instructional Designer (Starlink)
SpaceX is actively developing technologies to enable human life on Mars, and they are seeking a motivated Instructional Designer for their Starlink Training team. The role involves creating engaging training modules, collaborating with subject matter experts, and managing learning materials to enhance the organization's learning objectives.

Responsibilities
Create computer-based training modules that meet marketing and legal standards
Partner directly with subject matter experts to design and develop engaging content for a variety of audiences and delivery modes (online, classroom, etc.) with clear strategies and tactics to achieve desired learning outcomes
Maintain and revise existing learning products, keeping specific audience, learning modality, and other learning considerations in mind while always looking for the most efficient way to express the desired learning objectives
Serve as project manager on multiple product development projects simultaneously with the ability to stay within timelines and rapidly adjust to changing priorities
Manage learner needs, permissions, and skill tracking certifications within various internal platforms
Serve as learning management system administrator for the Starlink training team, providing technical support, and working cross-functionally with the SpaceX Instructional Design team
Measure the impact and outcomes of training material to reduce time to proficiency and increase retention
Develop and design material to represent Starlink in customer-facing or external partner learning programs
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalency certificate
2+ years of experience designing and developing training curriculum
2+ years of experience managing and utilizing learning management systems and skill tracking
Preferred
Bachelor's degree
Experience managing computer-based learning management systems
Experience with design tools commonly used in a learning creation environment (MS PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, Articulate Storyline, iSpring Studio & Camtasia Studio)
Ability to create live video production, audio recording and voiceover
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate in both written and oral formats
Open collaborative style; ability to work both in a team environment and autonomously with minimal supervision or direction
Comfortable in environments with shifting priorities
Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of management
Proficiency with MS Office products
Experience in a customer focused learning environment
Curiosity to understand the strategic priorities for SpaceX how learning and development can best address skill and knowledge gaps in the workforce
Experience with CSS and basic website building/design
