Electrical Controls Technician I / II
Rockline Industries is a company focused on quality manufacturing, and they are seeking an Electrical Controls Technician to provide electrical support for manufacturing operations. Responsibilities
Work safely and in accordance with facility safety guidelines and procedures
Work directly with and provide daily process support to the Operations Team
Associates have a direct and important role in ensuring that all work is performed in a safe manner. Effectiveness in carrying out this responsibility is part of each associate’s essential accountabilities
Contribute to a cooperative working effort by demonstrating a willingness to perform other job-related work, as needed or requested
Provide basic technical support for troubleshooting equipment and process related issues as well as continuous improvement of converting processes and equipment
This includes, but is not limited to plant electrical distribution systems, equipment or process control systems, electrical circuits, motors and drives
Support general camera inspection systems maintenance
Supports general lot code printing equipment maintenance
Support basic robotic manipulation and troubleshooting
Navigate equipment problems and determine causes to implement necessary repair up to and including program modification
Must be flexible in work schedule to support equipment downs or to provide backup shift coverage support on an as needed basis

Provide advanced technical support for troubleshooting equipment and process related issues as well as continuous improvement of converting processes and equipment
Troubleshoot equipment problems and determine causes to implement necessary repair up to and including program modification
Assist with determining equipment issues and assisting with Root Cause Analysis to improve equipment reliability
Lead camera inspection systems maintenance
Lead lot code printing equipment maintenance
Lead robotic manipulation and troubleshooting
Modify existing logic and writing as projects mandate
Responsible for working within a team for tuning, modifying, and installing new manufacturing equipment
Able to properly and efficiently train and mentor ECT level I associates utilizing an approved training plan
Must be flexible in work schedule to support equipment downs or to provide backup shift coverage support on an as needed basis

Qualification
Required
Must understand the basics of PLC ladder logic, HMI and Vision system programming. Understanding of Electrical safety in both High and Low Voltage Controls
Minimum of an AS Electronics Technology, a 2-year industrial maintenance or equivalent program, or 1 year experience with automation and controls equipment including but not limited to AB Control Logix or AB Studio 5000 and at least one other controls platform or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum Score of 65% on the internal Industrial Electrical Standards Assessment
Minimum of an AS Electronics Technology or a 2-year industrial maintenance or equivalent program and 3 years' experience with automation and controls equipment including but not limited to AB Control Logix or AB Studio 5000 and at least one other controls platform or equivalent combination of education and experience
Advanced knowledge of Allen Bradley Studio 5000/RS Logix and Factory Talk Batch
Minimum Score of 75% on the internal Industrial Electrical Standards Assessment
Must be able to communicate face-to-face and over the phone
Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
Frequent standing, bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing, pushing/pulling and reaching, as well as occasional sitting
Ability to work on ladders and at heights required for the installation of equipment
Requires ability to read write, calculate, interact socially, and reason
Requires good visual acuity with depth perception and color vision
Preferred
Knowledge of robotic programming, 24VDC systems and the ability to make minor modifications to control systems (timers, counters, constants, etc.) preferred
Understanding or the ability to research current National Electric Code requirements before project start
