Responsibilities

Drive the global external communications strategy for Google’s infrastructure, including data centers and subsea cables, in high-growth geographic regions
Develop, write, and edit compelling communications materials, including statements, story pitches, and announcements
Be a trusted advisor and strategic thought partner to key business partners
Cultivate media and partner relationships to drive awareness, excitement, and factual reporting about Google’s global infrastructure
Manage crisis communications scenarios (when necessary)

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
7 years of experience in external communications, with experience in the enterprise technology industry

Preferred

Experience working in the cloud computing or enterprise technology space
Experience with well-developed and maintained media relationships across business and technology press
Ability to quickly learn about various areas of public policy and infrastructure
Ability to think strategically and develop creative communication strategies that drive results
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and build relationships with key stakeholders
