Responsibilities
Update and maintain existing AutoCAD facility drawings
Clean up and stabilize legacy CAD files
Standardize drawing layers (equipment, electrical, plumbing, architectural, etc.)
Identify inconsistencies and proactively correct documentation gaps
Update drawings based on facility and project changes
Support ongoing facilities and equipment updates through CAD revisions
Partner with Facility Project Managers and Engineering teams on concept layouts and permit drawings
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to newer project managers on CAD fundamentals
Establish SOPs for documentation, drawing modifications, and file management (folder structure, Xrefs, layering standards, file naming conventions)
Act as the go-to CAD resource for Air MI facilities
Qualification
Required
5+ years of professional AutoCAD experience (2D required; 3D exposure preferred)
Experience supporting facilities, manufacturing, or industrial environments
Experience working with equipment, electrical, and plumbing drawings
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage large drawing sets independently
Comfortable owning documentation standards and processes
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and Bluebeam
Degree or certification in one of the following: Drafting & Design, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, ADDA (or equivalent technical certification)
Preferred
Revit experience
Familiarity with BIM concepts or workflows
Smartsheet (spreadsheets and dashboards)
Experience with Wrike, SAP, BOX, or similar project/document management tools
Background working directly with facilities or manufacturing stakeholders
