Program Coordinator
Commonwealth of Kentucky is dedicated to improving the safety and efficiency of transportation systems. The Program Coordinator will educate citizens on traffic safety issues, coordinate statewide programs, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities
Coordinate all aspects of statewide traffic safety programming specific to distracted driving for the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety
Collects, reviews, and responds to programming inquiries from the public, educational institutions, law enforcement agencies, and government entities
Coordinates educational classes, meetings and community events to disseminate educational program info statewide
Review programmatic inquiries submitted by program recipients or agency staff compliance with legal, regulatory, and policy standards
Monitor and review National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) non law grants for compliance with NHTSA guidelines
Communicates procedural and program changes to program staff, recipients, and other interested parties
Reviews and interprets laws, regulations, policy and procedures for program staff and recipients on a statewide basis
Program planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, analysis, and final reporting to target programs withing the Top 20 counties with overall statewide highway safety concerns
Travel to highway safety educational classes professional and civic meetings, corporate outings, and community events on a statewide basis
Attend highway safety conferences, training and meetings in state and out of state when deemed necessary by executive or managerial staff
Qualification
Required
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree
Three years of professional experience in management or administration
A master's degree will substitute for one year of the required experience
Administrative or business experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis
Preferred
Experience driving a truck with trailer and know how to hitch and unhitch a trailer
