The role involves workstation outlet installation, cable routing, and ensuring safety procedures are followed during structured cabling installations.
Information Technology
Responsibilities
Install work‑area outlets for floor monuments, modular furniture, and wall locations
Drop cable down walls using fish tape or similar methods
Route cable through modular furniture and perform pre‑termination procedures
Organize, dress, label, and prepare cables for termination
Suspend and support cable using tray, J‑hooks, D‑rings, trapeze, and similar supports
Build telecom closets: install backboards, racks, patch panels, cross‑connects, and hardware
Install grounding for racks, equipment, and cabling
Perform fire‑stopping procedures, install sleeves, and pull cable through penetrations
Terminate low‑voltage devices and follow all required safety procedures
Qualification
Required
Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor construction environments
Self‑motivated, professional, and able to support process improvements
Ability to interpret or learn to interpret blueprints and project documents
Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move up to 75 lbs
Ability to distinguish cable color codes, read small print, and identify audible signals
Willingness to travel within the branch or regional territory as needed
