Responsibilities

Architect and develop hardware and software functional and physical designs for advanced radar systems, synthesizing innovative technology concepts
Lead technical efforts in radar systems engineering, including executing trade studies, system integration, and performance analysis
Define, decompose, allocate, and manage system requirements throughout the development lifecycle
Conduct design verification testing in laboratory, chamber, ground, and flight environments to ensure system performance and reliability
Develop simulations and analytical tools to predict system behavior in various operational scenarios
Support technical and cost proposal efforts, including customer engagement and needs assessment to shape acquisition strategies
Lead troubleshooting activities, root cause analysis, and engineering investigations during program execution
Create and track technical performance metrics, presenting results in internal and external meetings
Mentor and motivate systems engineering teams to achieve high performance and technical excellence
Collaborate with program managers to perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for complex projects
Represent programs as the primary technical interface with customers, ensuring alignment with mission objectives
Participate in proposal capture activities, contributing to technical writing and customer presentations
Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions into projects

Required

Bachelor's Degree with at least 12 years of related experience, a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years, or a minimum of 16 years of experience in lieu of a degree
An active secret security clearance is required, with preference given to candidates holding a Top Secret clearance
Extensive experience in radar systems development, including complex hardware and software integration, system performance testing, and lifecycle management
Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and manage technical risk

Preferred

Hands-on experience with radar and weapon system integration, engineering testing, and system performance characterization
Proficiency in MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python, C/C++, or C#
Experience in proposal capture activities, customer engagement, and needs assessment
Experience with aerospace systems, payload integration, and security clearances such as Top Secret
