Responsibilities
End-to-End Design Ownership: Take projects from problem definition through delivery. Frame the design challenge, explore solutions, build and test prototypes, refine based on feedback, and partner with engineering through implementation. You own the design quality and user experience outcomes for your work
Prototyping & Concept Development: Create prototypes at varying levels of fidelity to communicate ideas, test assumptions, and align stakeholders. Use prototyping as a thinking tool — to explore possibilities and make abstract concepts tangible, especially for emerging AI capabilities and conversational interfaces
Stakeholder Influence: Articulate design rationale clearly and advocate for user needs with product managers, engineers, and leadership. Navigate competing priorities, build consensus, and make the case for design decisions that improve outcomes. Push back constructively when needed
AI & Customer Support Focus: Work closely with teams building AI tools and customer support solutions. Design for emerging interaction patterns — conversational interfaces, agent-assisted workflows, proactive automation — where traditional screen-based paradigms don't always apply
Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with product managers to define scope and priorities, with engineers to ensure feasibility, and with other designers to maintain consistency. Bring teams along through the design process rather than delivering finished artifacts in isolation
