Responsibilities

Monitor transport network alarms and respond promptly to incidents
Open, manage, and close trouble tickets in coordination with internal teams and vendors
Analyze, diagnose, isolate, and resolve network issues
Assist field operations with equipment restoration, including card swaps and maintenance procedures
Document network outages, failures, and maintenance activities accurately
Correlate multiple trouble reports to identify root causes and prevent recurrence
Provide Tier I technical support across supported platforms
Escalate issues to higher-tier teams when required and ensure proper follow-up
Communicate clearly with internal teams, external providers, and customers
Work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in a 24x7 environment

Required

Knowledge of transport network architecture and services
Basic understanding of Optical/DWDM transport networks and/or Digital Loop Carrier (DLC) systems
Familiarity with SONET and DWDM/ROADM technologies
Understanding of telecom network topology and repair procedures
Experience working with Element Management Systems (EMS), Operational Support Systems (OSS), or similar tools is a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred

Industry certifications (technical or business-related)
Experience working in a Network Operations Center (NOC)
Background as a technical support specialist
Recognition or awards for operational or customer service excellence
