Facilities File Clerk
City of New York is seeking a full-time Facilities File Clerk to assist in maintaining their agency-wide archiving and file storage facility. The role involves retrieving archived files, delivering files across the boroughs, and ensuring proper tracking of file activity.

Responsibilities
Use power jack and/or manual jack to deliver boxes of paper to various locations throughout the 5 boroughs
Work with facilities staff to relocate archive boxes from various locations within the 5 boroughs to Bush Terminal
Work with staff to complete various facilities related assignments
Maintain the files and archive boxes in the basement war rooms and storage areas in various locations
Maintain the archive boxes at our Brooklyn warehouse (Bush Terminal)
Lift and carry boxes that weigh 35 lbs
Able to learn archive tracking database and be proficient in adding items into system and query system to determine box location
Qualification
Required
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience
Must have an active driver's license in good standing
Strong oral & written communication skills
Ability to multi-task & work with minimal supervision
Highly skilled in Microsoft Office. Including Excel
Able to use a power jack, inline and hand truck
Able to lift 35 pounds without restrictions
Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute
