The Engineering Intern will learn the papermaking process and contribute to various projects while collaborating with engineers and technical professionals on process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
You will learn the papermaking process and contribute to projects in multiple potential areas including stock preparation, wet end, and dry end
Throughout your projects, you will be coached on Lean Six Sigma tools, data analysis, and effective meeting facilitation – skills that are transferable to any industry
You will collaborate with engineers, technical professionals, and production technicians on process improvement projects relating to efficiency, reducing machine downtime, product quality & more
Some additional responsibilities within an Engineering Internship at Greenpac Mill may include regular lab testing, assisting with chemical/process trials, data analysis, and standard operating procedure (SOP) creation
Qualification
Required
Candidates working towards a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Paper Engineering
GPA 3.00 or higher
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
Ability to work independently and as a team
Ability to manage time to meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Availability to work full time (40 hours/week) in person
