Team Assistant
JMB Insurance is a Chicago Insurance Brokerage firm with over 50 years of history, seeking entry-level candidates for the role of Team Assistant. The position offers hands-on training in the commercial insurance industry, supporting an account management team while learning about insurance products and services.

Responsibilities
Assist with completing insurance applications with commercial clients
Review policies and contracts
Provide administrative functions including, but not limited to preparing mailings, file preparation and maintenance, photocopying, scanning and faxing, while participating in team meetings and calls to develop knowledge of insurance products, coverages, risk management and industry specific commercial insurance needs
Qualification
Required
A four year college degree is highly preferred
Must be at least a moderate user of Microsoft Office Products
Ability to learn an Agency Management System (Nexsure)
Prior work and/or academic history must demonstrate high performance with ease in juggling multiple tasks both independently and as a member of a team
Strong written and oral communication skills to interact with insurance carriers, clients and co-workers as needed
Ability to comfortably navigate Excel and understand financial data
Must have accuracy and demeanor to handle client work, as well as more routine administrative tasks
Must be willing to pursue a program of personal and professional development, working toward an Account Representative Position and ultimately Account Management
Agency requires, and will pay for, obtaining an Illinois Insurance License
