OptiMinds is seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst I to support financial operations and system initiatives within a dynamic program environment. This role serves as a subject matter expert for department systems and integrations while ensuring accurate reporting and compliance in financial processes tied to large-scale construction and professional services programs.
Management Consulting

Responsibilities

Serve as a subject matter expert for department systems and system integration/implementation projects
Reconcile financial accounts and reports; identify and resolve discrepancies promptly
Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and analytical summaries
Manage accruals, journal entries, debit/credit memos, and related approvals and logs
Approve and release invoices in accordance with accounting procedures
Prepare and review vendor files and supporting documentation for payments
Communicate with construction and professional services vendors as needed
Assist with general contractor payment analysis and processing
Collaborate with accounting and cross-functional teams on bond-related financial matters
Ensure compliance with bond, financial, and reporting requirements
Complete special projects and financial assignments as directed

Required

3–5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
Experience working with enterprise financial or accounting systems
Strong background in trend analysis and financial reporting
Experience preparing monthly financial reports and performance analysis
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting
Strong communication and presentation skills
Intermediate proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Ability to lead projects to successful completion

Preferred

Experience supporting bond programs
Experience in construction program finance environments
Familiarity with Costpoint and/or Proliance systems
