Cable & Wire-Harness Assembly Engineer

Star Engineering Inc is seeking a skilled Cable & Wire-Harness Assembly Engineering/Floor Technician to support both their Manufacturing Engineering team and Production Floor. This role is essential for ensuring smooth daily operations, accurate process documentation, and successful new product introductions.

Responsibilities

Support communication and workflow between engineering and production
Build prototypes and initial production builds
Write and update cable/wire harness assembly work instructions
Operate semi-automatic equipment, including wire/cable cut machines, crimp presses, wire twisters, and wire strippers
Perform functional and continuity testing using test fixtures
Solder wires, terminals, electromechanical devices, and electronic components
Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of assemblies and finished products
Assist with sourcing wires, cables, connectors, terminals, components, and tools

Cable/Wire Harness ManufacturingIPC-620 CertificationMechanical AptitudeAssembly Process InstructionsBasic Math ProficiencyHands-on Assembly ExperienceEffective CommunicationTeam-oriented Attitude

Required

5 - 10 years of cable/wire harness manufacturing experience
IPC-620 knowledge and certification required
Ability to write clear, accurate assembly process instructions
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on assembly/production experience
Proficient in basic math
Effective Communication Skills And a Positive, Team-oriented Attitude

Preferred

5 -10 years? experience with cable/wire harness tooling and specialized machinery
Experience sourcing basic electrical components and tools
