Responsibilities
Perform on-site installation of technology systems such as security cameras, alarm systems, networking hardware, and smart home devices according to technical specifications
Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate and efficient installations
Test and configure installed equipment to verify proper operation and troubleshoot any issues that arise during or after installation
Communicate effectively with clients to explain system functionality, answer questions, and provide training on the use of installed technology
Maintain accurate records of installations, service reports, and inventory usage to support project tracking and quality control
Adhere to all safety protocols and industry regulations to ensure a safe working environment for self and others
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate schedules, share technical knowledge, and improve installation processes
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Proven experience in technology installation, preferably in security, networking, or audiovisual systems
Basic understanding of electrical systems and wiring
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
Preferred
Certification in technology installation or related fields (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CEDIA, or similar)
Experience with smart home automation systems and IoT devices
Familiarity with industry safety standards and OSHA regulations
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills
