Human Resources Internship
The Museum of Science in Boston is a leading science center dedicated to inspiring a love of science in everyone. They are seeking a Human Resources Intern to support the HR team with employee processes, recordkeeping, and benefits education, while gaining hands-on experience in HR operations.

Responsibilities
Support the HR team in managing employee processes – including requests for accommodation and workers’ compensation claims – by gathering information and documentation to assist the team in every step of the process, from initial request to decision-making
Streamline and organize our recordkeeping to create a robust, shared resource that will ensure all documentation is secure, complete, accessible to the HR team, and compliant with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations
Contribute to employee benefits education by creating and refreshing content about the Museum’s benefits programs – including Paid Family and Medical Leave, accommodations, tuition reimbursement, etc. – to be shared on the Museum’s intranet (the Hive) or in our internal Benefits newsletter (Benefits in Brief)
Participate in pre-renewal preparation, research, and conversations to help the HR team evaluate current benefit plan performance against current market conditions and prepare for renewal discussions (Open Enrollment) for the coming year
