Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable infrastructure-as-code (IaC) to support high-availability applications
Lead the automation of deployment pipelines and operational tasks to eliminate toil
Monitor and optimize system performance, latency, and error budgets (SLIs/SLOs/SLAs)
Actively take part in incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and post-mortem sessions
Ensuring operating efficiency by managing cloud costs and infrastructure health
Maintain up-to-date documentation of system architecture, disaster recovery plans, and runbooks
Collaborate with internal teams like Dev, Security, and QE to ensure 'Security by Design' and seamless delivery
Stay current with the latest cloud-native technologies, observability tools, and site reliability patterns
Qualification
Required
A strong understanding of technology and/or the financial services industry
Advanced experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or OpenShift) and Container Orchestration (Kubernetes)
Expertise in Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Dynatrace, or Helios)
Proficiency in scripting/coding (Python, Go, Bash, or .Net) for automation and tooling
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation)
Proven track record in CI/CD implementation and managing distributed systems
Excellent communication skills to explain complex infrastructure concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred
Ability to facilitate and influence architectural decisions regarding reliability
Strategic thinker capable of balancing feature velocity with system stability
Background in Payments or high-volume transaction processing
Experience with Service Mesh (Istio/Linkerd) and automated chaos engineering tools
