They are seeking a construction engineering or civil engineering intern for the summer of 2023 to assist Project Managers and gain hands-on experience in various aspects of construction projects.

Responsibilities
Assisting on project estimates, including take-offs and quote requests
Working on equipment lists
Shop drawing review of complex processing equipment
Studying drawings
Potential travel to jobsites across the country
Assembling bid packages for subcontractors and vendors
Sitting in on customer/owner meetings
Meeting with vendors and subcontractors to review quotes and bids
Preparing Purchase Orders and Subcontracts for review by Project Managers
Other work as may be requested to assist the company Project Managers
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a degree in construction engineering or civil engineering
Ability to work with Project Managers on future and ongoing projects
Willingness to split time between office-related duties and visiting/working on various sites
Knowledge of the bidding process, estimating, quoting, drafting design, and understanding contract language
Ability to assist on project estimates, including take-offs and quote requests
Ability to work on equipment lists
Ability to review shop drawings of complex processing equipment
Ability to study drawings
Willingness to travel to jobsites across the country
Ability to assemble bid packages for subcontractors and vendors
Ability to sit in on customer/owner meetings
Ability to meet with vendors and subcontractors to review quotes and bids
Ability to prepare Purchase Orders and Subcontracts for review by Project Managers
Willingness to perform other work as may be requested to assist the company Project Managers
