Responsibilities
Create 2D manufacturing prints, including but not limited to: weldments, assemblies, fabrication drawings, molded parts and mold drawings
Edit 3D models and help with prototypes to test and refine designs
Work in a team environment and collaborate with other departments
Assist with mechanical design challenges and ideation- bridging the gap between concept and manufacturing
Creation and organization of project documents such as design briefs and technical drawings
Create and edit existing models
Assist R&D at design phase
All other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Degree or certification in CAD-Drafting or 5+ years manufacturing industry drafting experience
Experience designing parametric models, assemblies, and drawings in SolidWorks
Experience with Microsoft Suite of software
Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering principles
Strong creativity and design skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Preferred
Adobe Creative Suite knowledge a plus
Portfolio or examples of previous sharable work helpful but not required
Prior experience with furniture design, especially tables and seating in hospitality, public, and event settings is a plus
