Responsibilities
Design and implement upgrades for intrusion detection and surveillance systems, including cameras, radar, lidar, microwave sensors, and related devices
Re-zone and optimize existing security layouts to reduce system complexity while improving coverage and performance
Integrate upgraded security systems into plant control environments, ensuring compatibility with power supplies, switches, and operator interfaces
Develop wiring plans, device specifications, and implementation documentation for retrofit projects
Coordinate commissioning and validation to deliver seamless, user-friendly operation for plant personnel
Qualification
Required
Experience supporting physical security systems within nuclear or power generation environments
Working knowledge of intrusion detection technologies and digital surveillance platforms
Familiarity with plant computer system integration and controls coordination
Ability to translate complex technical designs into practical field implementation
Understanding of retrofit and upgrade work in regulated industrial facilities
Comfort working with electrical layouts, device wiring, and system schematics
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to operational reliability
Clear communication skills for working with cross-functional engineering teams
