Responsibilities
Serve as the primary administrator and developer for the State of Michigan’s GRC platform (Navex IRM)
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand governance, risk, and compliance requirements and design automation solutions
Lead automation initiatives for security accreditation processes, including evidence collection, workflow routing, and control reviews
Design and implement unified security control frameworks aligned with State of Michigan standards
Integrate and support compliance frameworks including CJIS v6.0, IRS 1075, PCI (SAQ A, SAQ A-EP), and ARC-AMPE
Develop and maintain Python-based API modules and automation scripts
Integrate CMDB, vulnerability data, and audit evidence to support continuous monitoring
Work with RESTful APIs to automate data imports, exports, and reporting using JSON and CSV formats
Ingest structured data into the GRC platform and maintain centralized Azure Repos for source control and documentation
Troubleshoot system issues, analyze root causes, and implement timely resolutions
Maintain system, application, and project documentation using Azure Repos and SharePoint
Coordinate with Navex IRM vendor support regarding software issues, upgrades, and maintenance
Participate in development lifecycle activities including testing, implementation, and documentation
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Strong Python programming experience
Experience developing automation scripts and RESTful API integrations
General knowledge of database design principles
Basic programming experience with Java or C#
Familiarity with DevOps practices and risk management concepts
Experience working in Agile environments (sprints, backlog management)
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical and business teams
Preferred
Experience with automated testing frameworks
Hands-on experience with any GRC tool (Navex IRM experience is a strong plus)
Understanding of governance, risk, and compliance frameworks
Familiarity with security and compliance standards such as CJIS, IRS 1075, PCI, and ARC-AMPE
