Senior Software Engineer

They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior DevSecOps Engineer to lead the deployment, configuration, and management of advanced DevSecOps practices within their agile software development environment.

Responsibilities
Lead the deployment and configuration of vital development tools and infrastructure, including build servers, version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks
Managing cloud-based and on-premises infrastructures on AWS or Azure is a core aspect of the role, requiring expertise in cloud architecture, security, and scalability
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts using tools like Ansible to automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes, ensuring consistency and efficiency
Establishing and maintaining development and production environments, along with deployment strategies for application devices, will be key responsibilities
Creating best practices and methodologies for platform provisioning, scaling, configuration management, and monitoring
Provide critical insights to delivery teams to meet service level indicators (SLIs), service level objectives (SLOs), and service level agreements (SLAs), ensuring high-quality software delivery
Managing software development tools such as Jira, GitLab, Artifactory, Confluence, and SonarQube—including upgrades, patch management, and integrations—is essential for maintaining a seamless development workflow
Analyzing KPIs and metrics to refine team performance and software delivery processes will be part of the ongoing responsibilities
Lead demonstrations, monitor project progress, and present status updates to stakeholders and management
Mentoring junior team members and fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing are integral to this role
Spearhead process improvement initiatives, seeking innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and software quality, ultimately enabling the organization to deliver high-quality system software more frequently and reliably
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 8 years of experience in DevSecOps
At least 5 years of hands-on experience working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab
Solid understanding of Agile software development methodologies
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship
Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor team members
Preferred
Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry from an accredited institution
Experience with cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
Experience with Linux systems and automation scripting
Certifications such as Security+
