Responsibilities

Provide marketing leadership to New Product Introduction (NPI) teams focused on developing new power generation and electrification solutions for the Oil & Gas industry
Be responsible for executing marketing activities for assigned NPI product programs, including but not limited to new natural gas gensets, electrification solutions, and power distribution control systems
Collaborate with internal and external partners, dealers, and customers to support NPI activities including product requirements management, competitive analysis, field test coordination, product pricing, forecasting, and marketing literature development
Participate in regular meetings with customers, dealers, and commercial teams to gather market intelligence and understand Caterpillar’s position in the industry
Gather voice of customer to understand customer buying behaviors, competitive issues, market service needs, and where Caterpillar can add value
Act as a market segment advisor to commercial teams, dealers, and other process partners
Define marketing communication priorities and work with the Marketing Communications team to create marketing materials and media for new product launches and marketing campaigns
Guide the development and publication of technical marketing data, competitive analysis, and sales training materials needed to effectively sell new products

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating market-leading customer solutions
Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors
Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers
Knowledge of the importance of 'big picture' thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization
Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs
