Harness Engineer, Energy Products

Responsibilities
Rapidly gather requirements, design and modify detailed harness schematics to integrate a variety of electromechanical components and control units
Harness component selection and validation for prototype applications
Document build instructions for complex Industrial wire harnesses
Troubleshoot and quality check harnesses in the fabrication, assembly and bring up stages of pre and post production builds
Support the bring up and debug process of industrial equipment throughout its lifecycle
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
1+ years of experience in Wiring Harness design
Hands-on experience designing and building electro-mechanical systems and harnesses
Solid engineering fundamentals: DC/AC circuit analysis, analog and digital signal processing, communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet), LV / HV systems
Understand vehicle-level systems engineering including communications, functionality trade-offs, grounding, creepage and clearance, EMC strategies
Expertise with 3D CAD and PLM software (CATIA preferred)
Proven expertise with 2D drawing creation software
Familiarity with, and working knowledge of, mechanical systems: thermal, heat dissipation, vibration, strength, durability, corrosion-prevention
