Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) components including App Connectors, Server Groups, Application Segments, and access policies
Collaborate with enterprise ZTNA, network, security, identity, and application teams to enable secure access to internal applications
Analyze legacy VPN, network access models, and translate them into ZPA application-level access patterns
Support application onboarding by validating network paths, ports, protocols, and dependencies
Configure ZPA access policies aligned with least-privilege and Zero Trust principles
Troubleshoot ZPA-related access, connectivity, routing, and connector health issues
Participate in migrations from legacy access solutions to ZPA
Ensure configurations are documented, auditable, and compliant with security and governance standards
Develop technical documentation, diagrams, standards, and operational runbooks
Work with Zscaler and other vendors to resolve complex issues and optimize platform performance
Qualification
Required
8+ years of enterprise networking experience (routing, firewalling, DNS, traffic flow analysis)
Hands-on experience with Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) or similar Zero Trust access platforms
Strong understanding of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and application-level segmentation
Experience translating complex legacy network environments into scalable access models
Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments
Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Preferred
Zscaler certifications (Zscaler Digital Transformation Administrator or Engineer)
Completion of Zscaler ZPA administrator or engineer training
Certifications such as CCNP, Security+, CySA+, or equivalent
Experience in large enterprise, multi-agency, or public-sector environments
Familiarity with CJIS, NIST 800-53, or similar security frameworks
Experience supporting enterprise access modernization initiatives
