Responsibilities
Handle high-volume inbound calls, emails, faxes, and messages with accuracy, professionalism, and compassion
Schedule patient appointments using EPIC/Salesforce following clinic and provider guidelines
Process referrals, authorizations, LOAs, and eligibility (RTE) accurately in the EHR
Identify and triage urgent or crisis situations, escalating appropriately
Serve as a key communication bridge between patients, providers, care teams, and leadership
Document all interactions thoroughly in EPIC/Salesforce
Create and link pre-registration records to correct appointment and encounter types
Collaborate across departments to schedule complex or multi-step appointments
Ensure confidentiality, compliance, and adherence to policies, service levels, and codes of conduct
Maintain accuracy and timeliness while working in a fast-paced call center environment
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience in a healthcare setting or call/contact center
High School diploma or equivalent
Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to remain calm, clear, and detail-oriented under pressure
Proficiency with EPIC EMR, Salesforce, and basic computer systems
Comfortable with extensive phone work and multitasking
Demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and integrity
Preferred
Medical Assistant certification
Experience with patient scheduling, referrals, or unit clerk/MA work
Knowledge of medical terminology
Bilingual skills are a plus
