Communications Specialist - Part Time, College of AI, Cyber and Computing (CAICC)

Responsibilities
Produces well-researched and compelling written content such as news articles, blog posts, reports and publications
Interviews students, faculty, staff and external partners to gather information and quotes
Edits and reviews content, including materials created by others to ensure clarity, accuracy and alignment with UT San Antonio writing guidelines and standards. This includes electronic communication, newsletters, website materials, publications, brochures, presentations and reports
Collaborates with team members to support and carry out communication priorities
Assists in covering events as needed to support storytelling and content creation
Performs additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field from an accredited institution
Two (2) years of experience in public relations, communications, writing/editing, or related field
This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure
Resume is required

Preferred
Cover letter is preferred
Familiarity with artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, computing and data science
Experience in event coverage or event-related storytelling
