OKAYA INFOCOM is seeking a detail-oriented Playwright Automation Tester to join their engineering team. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining a robust automation framework to ensure the high quality of web applications, while integrating automated suites into CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities
Framework Development: Build, enhance, and maintain an end-to-end automation framework using Playwright with TypeScript or JavaScript
Test Scripting: Design and execute high-quality test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and E2E scenarios
CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into DevOps pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins) to enable automated gated check-ins
API Testing: Develop automated tests for RESTful APIs to ensure data integrity and backend reliability
Cross-Browser Validation: Leverage Playwright’s capabilities to ensure seamless application performance across Chromium, Firefox, and WebKit
Defect Management: Identify, document, and track software defects using JIRA. Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve flaky tests
Code Reviews: Participate in peer code reviews to maintain high standards for test code maintainability and scalability
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in QA Automation Engineering
Experience with Playwright
Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript
Experience in building, enhancing, and maintaining automation frameworks
Ability to design and execute test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and E2E scenarios
Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins)
Experience in developing automated tests for RESTful APIs
Ability to perform cross-browser validation using Playwright
Experience in defect management using JIRA
Participation in peer code reviews
