Responsibilities
Lead battery design team from concept to certification delivering battery solutions for our customers
Lead battery system decision matrix activities gaining consensus across the organization
Analyze options and tradeoffs throughout the project to move team forward
Leveraging product and process knowledge to develop project R&D and material estimates
Develop detailed resource loading and high-level project plans
Collaborate with internal and external partners to clearly summarize and communicate areas of risk and suggest opportunities for improvement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field
Reviews and explains several battery solutions with multiple partners and stakeholders
Utilizes critical-thinking and decision-making processes to make recommended battery solutions
Coaches and champions others in decision-making models, processes, and practices
Adapts presentations for the intended audience, including internal teams, external teams, senior leadership
Demonstrates both empathy and assertiveness when communicating a need or defending a position
Employs appropriate methods of persuasion when soliciting agreement
Maintains focus on completing the mission, championing the solution that has consensus
Champions organization's small batch project process
Manages multiple high-risk, high-cost projects involving multiple stakeholders
Monitors major projects for critical path and actual status versus planned
Quickly reviews proposed 3D models in order to consider battery options and packaging trade-offs
Ability to develop high level battery concepts from ground up in order to communicate options and trade offs
Preferred
Knowledge in battery cell, module, pack and/or system design
Knowledge in battery electric powertrain integration
