Manager of Technology and Systems

Responsibilities

Develop and manage the company’s overall technology and systems roadmap aligned with business goals
Serve as the primary technology advisor to leadership, recommending improvements and efficiencies, upgrades, and investments
Balance scalability, security, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness across all systems
Oversee day-to-day IT operations, including hardware, software, networks, and user support
Manage server strategy (cloud and/or on-prem), performance, reliability, backups, and disaster recovery
Ensure systems and data are secure, stable, accurate, consistent across all systems, and well-documented
Manage relationships with external IT vendors, consultants, and service providers
Develop and write reports
Oversee website functionality, content updates, pricing displays (as applicable), and integrations
Determine strategies for maximizing SEO, including other platforms such as Google Merchant Center, and monitoring progress
Ensure data integrity and governance
Oversee all pricing systems and price lists to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely updates
Own the internally created CRM system end-to-end, ensuring it supports sales, customer service, and reporting
Integrate external data into Sage
Ensure CRM, Sage, pricing tools, website, accounting, and inventory systems work together effectively

Required

7+ years of experience in IT, systems, or technology leadership roles
Hands-on experience managing CRM platforms, pricing systems, websites, and infrastructure
Experience with database management required
Strong understanding of data management, data integrity, and system integration
Ability to translate business needs into practical technical solutions
Strong understanding of IT technologies, systems, and infrastructure
Highly detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and data quality
Strategic thinker who is comfortable being hands-on
Strong cross-functional collaborator (sales, purchasing, operations, leadership)
Strong project management expertise with the ability to plan, execute, and deliver projects on time and within budget
Organized, proactive, and comfortable setting standards and accountability
Clear communicator with both technical and non-technical team members

Preferred

Experience in small or mid-sized businesses preferred
Sage 100 (ERP system) experience preferred
