Software IV&V Engineer

COLSA is seeking an Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) Software Engineer/Analyst for Software Mission Assurance capabilities at Redstone Arsenal. Responsibilities

Develop criticality analyses to identify critical infrastructure, key components, and critical mission requirements
Apply software requirements traceability matrices to cyber, physical, environmental, personnel, safety, and any other type of reported software defect
Define Integrity Levels for programs and requirements
Engage in Software Independent Verification & Validation (SIV&V) planning, creating detailed Software verification and Validation Plans (SVVP) that meet IEEE 1012 recommendations and DoD requirements
Identify software anomalies and create appropriate anomaly reports
Conduct lifecycle mapping and development verification and validation activities early in the development process
Create traceability analyses against design elements, requirements, and functional code units
Report compliance with Software Verification and Validation Reports (SVVR)
Use requirements management tools such as DOORS, Rhapsody, Jama, Jira, Git, and Cameo
Continuously engage in packaging, deployment, and fielding SIV&V processes
Execute decommissioning SIV&V activities
May provide technical consultation to other organizations
May provide work leadership to lower level employees

Required

Bachelors' degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or other related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of 6-15 years of related experience
U.S. Citizenship is required; candidates must be eligible for, and able to obtain and maintain, a DoD security clearance at the Secret level; minimum of an interim clearance is required to begin employment
Experience with the government acquisition lifecycle (DoD 5000 series) and IEEE 1012
Knowledge of current operating systems and programming languages
Experience with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) IV&V templates, plans, reports, tasks, and standards

Preferred

In-depth knowledge of requirements creation and Capability Needs Statements (CNS, DoDI 5000.87), identification of critical components (DoDI 5200.44, 5200.39), interoperability IV&V (DA PAM 25-1-1), Missile Defense Agency (MDA) IV&V plans/reports/instructions, criticality analyses (NISTIR 8179), and agile development standards
