Service Technician Specialist

The Service Technician Specialist role involves installing products and upgrades to extend the longevity of Husky equipment, while also providing troubleshooting support and mentoring new team members.

Responsibilities

Support the Installation of Husky’s Encore products. This involves removing obsolete controls technology with replacing with today’s latest and greatest
Use electrical schematics provided to rewire cabinets accommodate new PLCs and related I/O, as well as other circuits
Troubleshoot electrical, software, and related hydraulic/pneumatic/servo-driven systems using schematics, working instructions, or by conferring with subject matter experts located in the call center or other teams
Lead and/or assist in rebuilding hydraulic and mechanical systems related to injection molding machines
Have the ability, or potential to learn how to ensure a machine is mechanically leveled and aligned prior to operation
Work with Lead Encore Technicians to ensure Husky customers are achieving the best possible running conditions of our products
Assume complete ownership of equipment from shutdown to the startup equipment after the Encore Upgrade has been applied to ensure customer satisfaction
Submit continuous improvement initiatives towards product or process
Mentor new team members and customers to correctly start-up and troubleshoot equipment

Qualification

Electromechanical degreeElectrical schematics interpretationPLC experienceHydraulic systems knowledgeTeam collaborationEffective communication

Required

Electromechanical degree or equivalent with at least 2 years' experience working in an industrial setting
Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics for the purpose of understanding and troubleshooting related systems
Experience working with PLC or industrial controllers to transfer software and/or diagnose fieldbus and sensor issues
Ability to work within a team to accomplish a common goal, in both a lead and supporting role
Effective verbal and written communication skills

Preferred

While familiarity with injection molding systems is preferred, it is not necessary
