Research Assistant
The George Washington University is seeking a Research Assistant to contribute to research and development by assisting with experiments in a controlled laboratory setting. This position involves data collection and administration of experimental procedures under immediate supervision.

Laboratory organization and assistance
Mouse colony maintenance and husbandry
Performs and supports research in the laboratory, including solution preparation, stereotaxic surgeries, immunohistochemistry, and mouse behavior
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Qualified candidates will hold a BA/BS in a related discipline. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position
Strong communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Prior laboratory experience, particularly with mouse husbandry, genotyping, or behavior; stereotaxic surgery; or immunohistochemistry
Preferred
We seek an individual with a bachelor's degree in biology, neuroscience, psychology, or a related field
