Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator
UC Davis Health Informatics is dedicated to advancing health informatics and supporting clinical research. The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator will assist in coordinating clinical trials focused on neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative conditions, including recruiting participants and managing study documentation.

Responsibilities
Recruiting, pre-screening, scheduling, and enrolling adult patients with fragile X in a home-based clinical trial
Assisting with data entry, and subject tracking
Preparing and maintaining IRB submissions, modifications, and study documentation
Administering neuropsychological testing
Training parents on behavioral observations and ratings using ecological momentary assessment
Working collaboratively with the site study physicians to manage participants in the trials
50% - Recruitment & Conducting Study Visits
15% - Clinical and Research-Based Cognitive and Motor Assessment
10% - Data management and organization
5% - Administrative Duties
5% - Assist the PI and Other Investigators in the Dissemination of Study Findings
15% - Backup or Supporting Role as Assistant to other lab studies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in psychology, human development, cognitive science, neuroscience or related field, or combination of education and/or work experience
Experience with recruiting participants
Understanding of informed consent process and ability to communicate clearly (i.e., conducting phone in-takes, coordinating and scheduling clinical research appointments)
Excellent communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and correspond with department faculty and clinical staff, external University administrators, study sponsors, research subjects, patients, caregivers, other health care professionals, and the general public
Proficiency to effectively use personal computer and software, including but not limited to MS Word, Excel, and EHR/EPIC and Electronic Data Capture programs (i.e., experience with Microsoft Access, REDCap, and SPSS) to collect and organize data
Preferred
Certification by the Society of Clinical Research Associates or the Association of Clinical Research Professional
Prior clinical research coordinator experience working with patients with neurodegenerative and/or intellectual disabilities or problems related to aging especially fragile X syndrome and/or autism
Knowledge of, experience in, to adherence with Good Clinical Practice, IRB policies and ICH regulations
Completion of the Clinical Research Coordinator Foundations Training Program through CTSC
