This role involves overseeing technical accounting and financial reporting while managing day-to-day accounting operations, focusing on complex lease accounting, fixed assets, and debt/equity accounting.

Responsibilities
Oversee monthly debt covenant reporting and debt/equity accounting
Lead acquisition accounting for recent and upcoming transactions
Review and oversee preparation of technical accounting memos produced by consultants
Ensure the accuracy of financial statements and related disclosures
Provide technical guidance on complex accounting issues, including capital structure considerations
Lead and oversee lease accounting, including management of an outsourced provider
Oversee fixed asset and project accounting functions
Drive process improvements, data integrity, and performance expectations
Strengthen internal controls, standardize procedures, and drive systems adoption and data accuracy
Qualification
Required
Active CPA required
8 years of relevant experience spanning public accounting and industry
Strong technical accounting foundation (debt, equity, acquisition accounting) combined with hands-on operational leadership
Ability to work with large data volumes and quickly pick up and optimize systems; strong data orientation required
Preferred
Master's degree in Accounting preferred
Experience managing outsourced service providers preferred
Leadership style that is proactive, process-driven, and focused on elevating team performance
