Postdoctoral Fellow - Biomedical Engineering

Responsibilities
Computational modeling and quantitative analysis of multicellular morphogenesis
Experimental studies using multicellular cluster models
Characterization of cell subpopulations based on mechanical phenotypes
Collect, manage, and analyze experimental or computational data for the assigned focus
Participate in lab meetings, contribute to experimental planning, assist with manuscripts or reports as appropriate, maintain lab safety, and follow all institutional and federal research protocols
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others
Qualification
Required
Ph.D in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biophysics, Cell Biology, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education, conferred by the start of employment
Experience with laboratory safety protocols and good research practices
Basic proficiency in data analysis or computational tools relevant to the project
Preferred
Experience with finite element methods, molecular biology techniques, or xenograft mouse tumor models
Experience in 3D cell culture, traction force microscopy, or computational mechanics
Familiarity with cell sorting, bioenergetics assays, or multicellular modeling
Experience mentoring or training students
Strong written and oral communication skills; experience integrating experimental and computational approaches
