Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership through hands-on development, code reviews, and design discussions
Mentor engineers and promote best practices in software design, coding standards, and system architecture
Design and evolve scalable, secure, and high-performance backend and data systems
Drive architecture decisions aligned with business goals, scalability, and long-term technical vision
Champion software craftsmanship through TDD/BDD, CI/CD, and operational excellence
Lead technical discovery and architecture for major initiatives and platform capabilities
Collaborate with Product, UX, QA, SRE, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate tools that improve system reliability and developer productivity

Required

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related field
10–14 years of experience designing and developing scalable, distributed systems in product-based environments
Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
7+ years of hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices
Strong experience in distributed systems, system design, and cloud-native architectures
Expertise with RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Kafka, and big data technologies such as Spark
Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices platforms
Strong knowledge of CI/CD, Agile, and DevOps practices (Git, Maven, Jenkins)
Experience with performance testing, high availability, resiliency, disaster recovery, and security architecture
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Proven ability to balance long-term architecture with near-term delivery
Strong communication skills and ability to influence without direct authority
A collaborative mindset with energy to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years' experience in software engineering or related area
Option 2: 6 years' experience in software engineering or related area

Preferred

Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area
Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly
