US Manager, Technology Sourcing and Contract Negotiation

The Technology Sourcing and Contract Negotiation Manager will lead strategic sourcing initiatives and manage the contract lifecycle while collaborating with various internal stakeholders to optimize sourcing and contract management processes.

Responsibilities
Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for Technology categories, from market analysis and supplier identification to RFP/RFQ processes and supplier selection
Manage the entire contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing major commercial master agreements; identify, evaluate, and champion the use of AI and other advanced technologies to optimize sourcing, contract management processes, and drive new value from supplier relationships
Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing and negotiation strategies and playbooks that achieve optimal outcomes in terms of cost, risk mitigation, and service level agreements for the team
Collaborate with internal stakeholders including legal, risk, finance, insurance, and technology teams to ensure that all contract terms are favorable and align with KPMG's policies and goals
Serve as the primary point of contact for all sourcing and contract-related inquiries and escalations, providing expert guidance and support to internal stakeholders
Maintain an organized and up-to-date repository of all contracts and legal documents, ensuring compliance with all record-keeping policies
Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
Qualification
Required
Minimum five years of recent progressive experience in strategic sourcing, category management, and complex contract negotiation within a technology environment
Bachelor's degree in business, law, or a related field required
Demonstrated understanding of AI technologies and their application in procurement and contract lifecycle management to enhance business outcomes; expertise in drafting and negotiating diverse commercial agreements, including MSAs, SOWs, software/SaaS licenses and amendments
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail and a commitment to excellence; ability to communicate effectively and earn the respect of senior executives both internally and externally with suppliers, especially for complex and high-value negotiations
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively articulate complex legal and business concepts to a diverse audience; proven ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-volume, deadline-driven environment
Capability to adapt, demonstrate curiosity, and show resilience by rapidly pivoting strategies in response to changing technological market conditions
