Responsibilities
Participate and contribute to design sessions and code review sessions
Configure and manage data ingestion tools such as data factory, stitch, azure synapse etc
Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture using python and SQL
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements such as automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, designing smoothly scalable infrastructure
Build and maintain ELT/ETL pipelines using cutting edge analytics engineering approach and techniques
Build and support enterprise BI models using Microsoft Power BI
Work with business users and stakeholders to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data needs
Explain complex technical concepts and insights to non-technical cross functional team members
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve an organizational goal ideally in an agile environment
Insurance and/or re-insurance data experience is required, including experience with cession statements data and ceded premium concepts
Well-developed SQL and Python coding skills
Substantial experience in Azure platform services or equivalent, such as Snowflake or Big Query
Strong hands-on experience in modern BI and analytics tools such as Power BI or equivalent
Approachable personality and experienced building strong cross functional rapports with business counter parts, and leveraging people skills for smooth project execution
Preferred
Familiarity with Workday accounting center and/or Prism Analytics
Familiar with medallion architecture and concepts
Understanding of industry standard data warehousing concepts and architectures such as Kimbal and Inman
Hands on expertise for building and scaling CI/CD pipelines on Azure Git
Expert in ETL/ELT and performance tuning
