Responsibilities
Lead the mechanical design of custom machinery using 3D CAD (SolidWorks/Inventor), focusing on precision and manufacturability
Own the prototyping phase, identifying high-risk mechanisms early and validating them through physical bench tests
Conduct FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and kinematic studies to ensure structural integrity and cycle time targets
Define tolerances and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to ensure seamless assembly of custom-machined parts
Qualification
Required
Proven track record of taking a 'blank sheet' concept to a commissioned machine
Advanced knowledge of fluid and mechanical power systems, materials science, heat treatment, and fabrication techniques
Strong 'hands-on' aptitude for troubleshooting mechanical failures during the build phase
Bachelors degree or higher in mechanical engineering
