Responsibilities
Support and lead small- and mid-market M&A transactions
Draft and negotiate:
Asset purchase agreements
Stock purchase agreements
Operating and shareholder agreements
Employment and management agreements
Conduct due diligence and manage transaction checklists
Work directly with business owners, accountants, lenders, and advisors
Provide general business and transactional counsel to closely held companies
Assist with estate or succession planning matters (if experienced)
Qualification
Required
J.D. from an accredited law school
Active bar admission in North Carolina
4–6 years of experience in:
Mergers & acquisitions
Business or transactional law
Strong drafting and negotiation skills
Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines
Preferred
Experience with:
Estate planning or business succession planning
Professional services or healthcare clients
Closely held or owner-operated businesses
