Data Systems Administrator and Analyst
The Family Security Plan is seeking a Data Systems Administrator and Analyst to oversee multiple corporate SQL environments and support enterprise-wide data transformation and movement. This role involves SQL system administration, development, project management, and data integration efforts across the organization.
Responsibilities
Configure, upgrade, and maintain SQL Server instances, including patches and updates
Implement database security measures, manage user access, permissions, and policies
Serve as the first line of defense for database issues, resolving disruptions in real time
Manage all data feeds into and out of the CRM, including internal personnel-related data movement
Maintain corporate-developed SQL import/export operations engine
Monitor and tune performance across SQL environments and ETL processes
Design and implement ETL processes to extract and transform data from internal and external sources
Create and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and workflows
Automate and schedule ETL jobs within the SQL import/export operations engine
Develop and maintain database schemas, custom queries, and reporting workflows
Troubleshoot technical issues involving imports/exports, updates, and inserts between systems
Lead SQL IT projects, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and priorities are met
Collaborate with stakeholders to coordinate, document, and execute projects effectively
Analyze business procedures and develop system specifications, workflows, and requirements
Provide management-level reporting on project progress and outcomes
Ensure successful UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and deployment to production
Partner with business analysts, data architects, and technical teams to deliver data solutions
Create and maintain technical documentation for ETL processes, mappings, and integrations
Ensure databases and data elements comply with security and regulatory standards
Monitor and maintain system backups in coordination with the Network Administrator
Qualification
Required
4–6 years of SQL database-driven application support, development, and maintenance
3+ years of project management involvement (scoping, development, documentation, testing)
1–2 years managing on-premises SQL databases
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
Expert knowledge of T-SQL, SQL Server, MS Integration Services (SSIS), and MS Reporting Services (SSRS)
Strong experience with on-premises SQL management and development
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional organizational ability and multitasking in deadline-driven environments
Critical thinking and strong problem-solving capabilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows Server environments
Experience with CRM and/or ERP systems
Database design and data warehouse experience
Leadership and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams
Preferred
Experience in the insurance sales industry preferred
