Responsibilities
Editing 20-60 second short-form videos for YT and social media
Cut and pace footage for maximum viewer retention, visual interest, and storytelling
Add captions, sound effects, overlays, and transitions that enhance engagement
Follow and incorporate current trends in YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels
Collaborate with the Director of Post Production and creative team on feedback
Maintain organized file structures, version tracking, and consistent delivery practices
Ensure all videos align with brand identity and content standards
Qualification
Required
Proven experience editing content for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, or Instagram Reels
Strong sense of pacing, timing, and visual rhythm
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (or Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve)
Experience with animated text, on-screen captions, and graphic overlays
Familiarity with social media and creator trends, especially in youth markets
Strong communication skills and ability to take feedback and iterate
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Must be based in or willing to relocate to Austin, TX and available to work in-person Monday through Friday
